About Me

Yolanda is a dedicated, kind, and compassionate healer who helps her patient’s attain health and balance in their lives. Her acupuncture is from a classical Chinese medical perspective of numerous traditions with Taoist roots founded in ancient texts. Her approach covers physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of oriental medicine.

Yolanda uses acupuncture to alleviate the effects of stress and anxiety; combining Chinese medical aromatherapy with the use of essential oils and therapeutic massage in multi-layered, therapeutic strategies: consistent treatment diminishes cravings for alcohol, drugs, overeating, and smoking—patients enjoy less pain, improved circulation, enhanced muscle tone, improved digestion relieved tension, increased mental alertness, less worry, and a renewed sense of energy, motivation, and emotional stability.

She holds both a Master’s degree in Acupuncture, and a Bachelor’s in Professional Studies, from the Swedish Institute School of Acupuncture and Oriental Studies in New York, where she was trained by the world renowned, 88th generation Taoist priest, Dr. Jeffrey Yuen.

You Can Thrive! Addressing the need for free and low-cost support services and long term survivorship tools for breast cancer survivors. 

Our innovative wellness model helps people diagnosed with breast cancer to have a better quality of life. Professional volunteers give their time and services like acupuncture, aromatherapy and massage to reduce symptoms, while others provide tools likeenvironmental and nutritional education and exercise and meditation, peer support / advocacy and even life coaching. Tools for a real survivorship plan. Through our integrated programs, we are the only foundation effectively addressing a well identified need for aftercare in the breast cancer community in the New York City Area.
